This is a perfect example of how a witch hunt begins.
Cathryn Kaner Tatyslin's defaming comment against Jim Rizoli and the firestorm it set off after the Showing of Weekly Show 86 that dealt with Holocaust issues.
Shown below is the posting she made to the framcom a town mailing list...

Xenophobe Jim Rizoli Delivers Holocaust Denial Diatribe on Public TV

and you thought the Rizolis just hated
immigrants. Before I knew what they did in their
non-work time, I actually hired these bigoted
fear-mongers to clean my carpets. Never again!
In the words of Pastor Martin Niemoller, a Nazi opponent:
First they came for the Communists and I did not
speak out because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the Socialists and I did not
speak out because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists and I did
not speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out  because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.
Speaking out,
Cathryn S. Kaner-Taytslin
Framingham resident & daughter of a Holocaust survivor
P.S. I urge you to join me in boycotting the
Rizoli's ChemPro carpet cleaning business.

Just in case anyone is confused on the topic of how to properly use this
mailing list, this is a really great way to demonstrate how to not
do it.
There's so much wrong with this that it's hard to even know where
to start.
That never stopped me before.
* If you want to quote someone else from the 'Net and you're not
looking at
some kind of copyright problem, then by all means, feel free to do
so. In this
case, there is no person who made any statements. It's a link to
an unsigned
page run by the ADL. Editorials are not signed, but this is no
editorial.
* The basis for posting this message is just plain flawed.
If someone wants to
actually *watch* the show and start a discussion based on what she
saw, that's
different from letting other people tell you what you should think. And by the
way, you can't read that book either because I say so.
* Tagging onto a previous Subject line on the flimsiest of excuses
and even
going so far as to modify it just enough to make the segue more
plausible does
not help. If it were legitimate to do so then by all means,
please start a new
discussion.
* And finally, I don't care what someone is or is not. THIS FORUM IS NOT TO BE
USED FOR ATTACKING PEOPLE IN AN UNCIVIL MANNER.

Framingham Public Access Corporation, or FPAC, is forbidden by law from
censorship or content control. According to the Town of Framingham's license
agreement with the cable providers: "Neither the Licensee, nor the Town
and/or its designee shall engage in any censorship or any other control of
the content of the PEG Access Programming on the Cable System, except as
otherwise permitted by applicable law."
In other words, when FPAC receives programs from members of the Framingham
community, FPAC is required to cablecast all non-commercial speech that is
protected under the First Amendment and not actually illegal, and may not
treat it differently from any other program. The sole exception is material
containing extreme violence, indecency, profanity, graphic medical
procedures or sexually explicit material, which may be limited to late night
and early morning Safe Harbor hours. FPAC may NOT cablecast material
containing commercial advertising or programming, libel, slander, obscenity,
invasion of privacy, violation of copyright or trademark laws, or material
intended to defraud.
For more information, please see FPAC's Policies and Procedures, available
on the documents page of the FPAC website at fpac.tv. If you believe you
have seen a program violate these policies, please contact FPAC Executive
Director Steve Innis at sinnis@fpac-tv.org with your name and contact
information, the name of the program, what time and date it was
cablecast, the nature of the violation, a description of the violation, and
what time the violation occurred.
FPAC' response to controversial content in programming is to encourage more
speech, as opposed to enforcing silence. FPAC encourages anyone who
disagrees with a program to produce counter-programming presenting an
opposing point of view, or otherwise respond to the program in question. If
you would like to produce a program expressing your own opinion, please
contact FPAC for more information. Telephone 508-875-5434

Subject: Re: Jim Rizoli matter
Dear All:
As the cat is out of bag, as it were, I think its important to alert
everyone to the process that lead us to this point.
Last night, I received an email from an outside source alerting me
to this ADL Article.
http://www.adl.org/main_Extremism/jim_rizoli_holocaust_denial.htm.
In response, I drafted an email to inquire what, if anything should
or could be done because I had personal concerns. The leadership
team was consulted and BNI Corporate has become involved. We are
awaiting some kind of response from BNI Corporate.
I also, as a personal matter, spoke with many other members who are
friends for their advice with regard to how I should be responding
personally.
Since this matter is now a matter of public discourse, I feel a need
to explain my personal feelings as succinctly as possible. You do
not have to read or consider what I have to say so therefore, I have
posted those thoughts separately.
To that end, I have posted my thoughts at
http://meltzer.blogs.com/tcob.
I hope for those of you who were not aware of this situation
earlier, this communication helps to "de-crypt" the other emails
that you have received.
Thanks,
Steve Meltzer

It is a wonderful country that we live in! Our right to free speech
is too often taken for granted.
We should always protect and defend this constitutional right, even
for people like Jim Rizoli
to be heard in his own words!
This free speech "right" allows people to be seen as they truly are.
In Jim's case, he can be seen
as an ignorant small minded individual who does not back up his
words with facts but with hearsay.
Imagine that he claims he has "researched everywhere" (his words)
and was unable to find anything
where Ahmadinejad denies that the Holocaust happened or where
Ahmadinejad does not say Israel
should no longer exist. Only a few days prior to Jim's broadcast,
Reuters News published in print and on the Internet
actual video footage and coverage of Ahmadinejad's speech in Iran
where he indeed says, and not to paraphrase, "
the Holocaust was a myth..." (took me 30 seconds to google it)
But, and I now quote Jim Rizoli, "don't take my word for it, see for
yourself ..."
Go to the Reuters link below and read the article and WATCH the
video of Ahmadinejad denying the Holocaust!!
http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSTRE58H17S20090918
Thanks Jim for the courage to say what you believe out in the open.
People like you are far less of a threat to common sense, decency
and respect for the truth than those who hide in the closet or under
a white sheet.
BNI is a " Networking" private entity. Yes it is a business
networking group but as we all know our referrals are based on
character as well as just products and services. When we refer a
member, we are referring them because we endorse that person as well
as their products/services and by definition are now associated with
them.
To that point, I am in the same camp as Steve.
If Jim does not resign from our chapter, then I must.
I will not be associated with someone, wether it be in business or
personal, that holds such myopic, hateful, and bigoted views.
To not discuss this important issue openly is to hide from the
uncomfortable but obvious decisions we each have to make.
Remember, we all have a right to our personal views and beliefs.
However, Jim chose to publicly broadcast, not only HIS views and
beliefs, but to denounce and ridicule others (Zionists, ministers
reporters) publicly.
Therefore, it is no one else other than Jim who made this an
issue . . .publicly.
Respectfully,
An American Jew, Zionist, and Boyfriend of a beautiful, hard
working, caring and loving Brazilian woman

Jim Rizoli attempted to post a reply to the framcom posting but it was censored by Steve Orr.
Then, along comes Steve Meltzer with his words to add to the hate mongering.
Dear Members of the TCOB BNI:
It is with a great despair and mixed emotion that I am writing this. I am,
however, compelled to do so by the actions and expressions of another member
of the BNI TCOB Chapter. The following article was brought to my attention
late last night:
http://www.adl.org/main_Extremism/jim_rizoli_holocaust_denial.htm.
As it is short, and the contents are essential in understanding what I
have to say next, I urge you to read this article before continuing with
the rest of my email. You can also view the original video at
http://meltzer.blogs.com/tcob.
Please take particular note that Jim Rizoli and I have never had a cross
word between us, and that he and I have always been at least cordial, if
not friendly with each other. That being said, however, our past
interpersonal relationship does not vitiate the fact that he has publicly
expressed extraordinarily racist, anti-semetic and intolerant views. While
I firmly believe in Jim's right to hold and express these views, and I will
advocate for anyone's such right as an American citizen, I believe the
views to be ignorant, and, as I said, racist and intolerant.
I have a choice with regard to the affiliations that I choose. BNI is
one of those choices. The problem, however, is that by affiliating with an
affinity group that inherently endorses its fellow members, I cannot
affiliate with any group that calls an intolerant racist a member -- however
ignorant the impetus for his views may be. In other words, I cannot
tacitly endorse Jim Rizoli by belonging to the same networking group as
he does.
Just as importantly, I don't feel the group can allow itself to retain
Jim as a member. It is similarly a tacit endorsement of Jim's intolerance
to support him within our business referral community. I would never be
able to refer Jim, nor would I accept a referral from Jim. In fact, at
this point, given the public expressions he has aired, I am not only
embarrassed to be a member of an organization that would support Jim, but
also would be complicit in his message if I continued the affiliation as
it stands currently. His continued membership would be a negative reflection
on the group, would call into serious question the group's commitment to
inclusive principles and would, therefore, be a negative reflection on
the community, on BNI, on TCOB and on me. It would also, not trivially,
run afoul of my own fervent Zionist beliefs.
Accordingly, unless Jim is removed or resigns from the group, I will resign
my seat. I understand that these are difficult issues and am happy to
discuss this matter with any or all of you.
Thank you for your consideration of this matter. Please be assured that
I remain committed to making the group strong and productive, but that I
will not (ever) compromise my personal ethics in the name of increased business.

Show 86
The particular discussion is at 41:40.
To quote Jim Rizoli:
"Big difference between Zionism and the regular Jewish population. Two
different animals here because the Zionists are nutso's okay? What they
believe and their whole viewpoints [sic] in life are unbelievable, okay,
they're the radical Jewish element that really have no respect for the
United States, have no respect for anybody."
To quote Justice Brandeis, one time Chairman of the Provisional Executive
Committee for General Zionist Affairs and Associate Justice of the
United States Supreme Court:
"The greatest dangers to liberty lurk in the insidious encroachment by men
of zeal, well meaning but without understanding."
Zionism defined (from http://www.zionism-israel.com/zionism_definitions.htm) :
Zionism is the national revival movement of the Jewish people. It holds
that the Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national
home, and the right to develop their national culture. Historically,
Zionism strove to create a legally recognized national home for the Jews
in their historical homeland. This goal was implemented by the creation
of the State of Israel. Today, Zionism supports the existence of the
state of Israel and helps to inspire a revival of Jewish national life,
culture and language.
Subject: Jim Rizoli update
Date: Thu, 12 Nov 2009 12:25:25 -0500
I thought I would give you an update on what has transpired since I was
unlawfully terminated from BNI for thought crimes.
I asked Jim Kane of the membership committee for the reason I was
terminated and he said he would send it to me. Yah right!
Imagine a seasoned 15 yr member being terminated from a business network
and not knowing why....unconscionable wouldn't you say?
So far no email or anything relating to why. You should of known that
doing something like this to a person who does video and has a local
cable show was not a smart move but live and learn.
I decided to do a video to let the world know what happened because I am
not going to allow (Zionist) people in BNI or anyone for that matter,
slander and defame me, without fighting back.
This 9 minute clip below on youtube was actually was part of my hour
long Weekly Show that aired on local TV this week. So between the
internet and local TV people are going to know what the "TRUTH" is.
Hopefully you will find this video enlightening. Watch the whole video
because I start from the beginning and then talk about BNI 3 minutes
into it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ-KGGuyFXc
By the way I was interviewed from the Jewish Advocate newspaper in
Newton last week about the event and the article is in their paper today.
I haven't read the article as you have to subscribe to it.
http://www.thejewishadvocate.com/
The woman who wrote it said she would send me the article but as of yet
I haven't received it.
So I don't know how badly the article spins the story against me. Most
newspapers are not know for telling the "truth" so I'm not too optimistic.
So life goes on and those responsible for doing this to me just sit back
and smile like nothing happened.
Like the Bible says of these people "You will reap what you sow" and I'm
sure God will deal with all those who were part of this fiasco and didn't
act responsibly or honestly by standing up for what was right and just.
